Handmade Redwood Cedar Fruit & Serving Bowl
£35.00
A proper great lump of handmade redwood cedar, hollowed into a serving bowl and left with all the grain, knots and natural character that made the timber interesting in the first place.
At approximately 18 × 13 × 4 inches high, this isn’t a tiny decorative bowl pretending to be useful. Fill it with fruit, breads, festive treats, roast potatoes or whatever else needs somewhere considerably better to sit than a plastic serving dish.
Every curve, marking and bit of wonkiness belongs to this particular piece. There’s only one exactly like it because trees, thankfully, don’t come out of moulds.

Handmade Redwood Cedar Fruit & Serving Bowl
This Handmade Redwood Cedar Fruit & Serving Bowl is a proper statement piece. Not a tiny little bowl for three decorative walnuts. This is a substantial lump of redwood cedar, shaped by hand and left with the grain, markings and natural wonkiness that made the timber worth saving in the first place.
At approximately 18 × 13 × 4 inches high, there's plenty of room for fruit, breads, snacks, festive treats or whatever else deserves something better than a plastic serving bowl.
And at Christmas? Fill it with satsumas, apples, figs, nuts and all the traditional festive bits, stick it in the middle of the table and let the bowl do some of the showing off.
Every curve and marking belongs to this particular piece. The natural character of the redwood cedar hasn't been bullied into looking factory-perfect because that's really not what we do around here.
The bowl is hand-finished with a food-safe finish, helping protect the timber while allowing the colour and grain to remain the star of the show.
It's practical enough to use, characterful enough to leave on display and substantial enough that nobody is going to mistake it for something churned out by the thousand.
Handmade in Ipswich, Suffolk, for people who like their wood with a bit of personality.
One bowl. One piece of timber. Zero mass-produced bollocks.
Product summary
This bowl is handmade from redwood cedar, with the natural grain, knots and markings left visible so the timber keeps its individual character.
What can I use this bowl for?
At approximately 18 × 13 × 4 inches high, it's great for fruit, breads, snacks, festive treats and serving food at the table. It also works as a substantial decorative centrepiece when nobody is currently nicking food out of it.
Is the bowl food-safe?
Yes. The bowl has been hand-finished with a food-safe finish and is suitable for serving food.
Is every bowl identical?
Absolutely not, and that's rather the point. Natural timber has its own grain, markings and quirks, so this is a genuine one-off rather than something produced by the thousand.
