This Handmade Apple Wood Chopping Board is a proper great lump of timber built for actual cooking, not something destined to spend its life propped against the kitchen wall looking decorative.
At approximately 17 × 12 × 2 inches, there's plenty of working space for chopping vegetables, preparing fish, carving meat, slicing bread and all the other glorious kitchen mess that comes with cooking proper food.
And at 2 inches thick, it's got the sort of satisfying chonk that makes flimsy supermarket boards look slightly embarrassed.
The apple wood brings warm natural colour, distinctive grain and individual markings to the surface. Those aren't defects to be hidden or painted over. They're part of the bloody reason we chose the timber in the first place.
Because this is real wood, this particular board has its own grain, colour and character. There isn't a stack of identical copies sitting in a warehouse waiting for a barcode.
This is the board you see. This is the board you get.
The surface is finished for food use and designed to work hard in a real kitchen. Chop on it, slice on it, carve on it and then give it the occasional bit of care it deserves.

How should I care for it?
Clean the board by hand after use, don't soak it and definitely don't put it in the dishwasher. Allow it to dry properly and periodically refresh the timber with a suitable food-safe oil.
Can I use both sides?
If both faces are finished and intended for food preparation, yes. If one side has particular features that make it unsuitable as a cutting surface, use the designated working face.
